The Governor's proposed budget for 2005-2006 threatens to balance the state's budget on the backs of students. Last year, the Governor entered into a compact with UC President Dynes to increase fees over the next three years by an average of 10% per year for undergraduates and an average of 20% for graduate and professional students.
