To be fair, nearly every student at UCSD is desperate in one way or another. A few might be housewives too, so I guess maybe that that's the rationalization? Who the fuck knows.

Is there anybody who was there that's willing to talk about this guy's speech? How was it? I mean, he did get his MFA from UCSD, so maybe he had something to say about that, or was it just ego masturbation about how he's on the tee-vee?

it wasn't bad… nor was it the least bit memorable either. i was there and i can't remember a word of any of the speaches, save the Chancellors' 100,000th graduate joke at marshall, for the life of me.
